Growing up on a commercial fishing boat gives one a unique perspective and a salty personality. I started Skiff Chicks because I wanted to bring other peoples ideas to real life. In my local store I create custom apparel, stickers, decals, signs, mugs, and hold art classes. In the summer I work on a commercial fishing seining boat in PWS and run a skiff and I also raise chickens. When I started fishing I was one of a handful of women in the industry and one of the only female skiff drivers in the state at that time. I did not like being called a skiffman so my dad dubbed me the Skiff Chick. Since my shop is unique one stop shop for all sorts of personal and business needs it needed a unique name.
